  • Overview

    Perform assembly and engineering tasks to include: building, repairing, reworking, and testing of electrical and mechanical components using a variety of tools. Work from engineering drawings, mechanical blueprints, and electrical schematics. Solder components on printed circuit boards as per IPC Standard. Work directly with the Engineering Department and provide design feedback when necessary. Success in this position requires an assertive, confident attitude and a commitment to working as a part of a team to meet critical delivery schedules.


    1. Assemble mechanical and electrical designs from mechanical drawings, models, and electrical schematics.
    1. Build, repair, and rework cables.
    2. Report and provide feedback to engineers.
    3. Populate and solder printed circuit boards.
    4. Candidate must be U.S. citizen able to obtain a DoD Secret level security clearance.


    Required Skills for Assembler:

    1. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and models.
    2. Ability to read electrical schematics.
    3. Soldering of SMT and though hole components. IPC J-STD-001 and/or IPC-7711/7721 a plus.
    4. Hand dexterity and the ability to work with small and large hand tools.
    5. Strong attention to detail.
    6. Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
    7. Additional Requirements for Assembler:
    1. Associate’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related discipline; or equivalent experience and one to five year’s professional experience.
    2. Proactive/self-starter. Task driven with ability to work independently.
    3. Team player that takes ownership and develops relationships with the team members which fosters team success.

    Contract Term: Full-Time Employee, 40 hours/week.

    Rate:  Negotiable
